  • INHALATION
    		• Burning sensation. Cough. Sore throat.
    		Local exhaust or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest.
  • SKIN
    		• Redness. Pain.
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse skin with plenty of water or shower.
  • EYES
    		• Redness. Pain.
    		Safety goggles or eye protection in combination with breathing protection.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• See Notes.
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work.
    		Rinse mouth. Refer for medical attention.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Do NOT wash away into sewer. Sweep spilled substance into containers. Carefully collect remainder, then remove to safe place (extra personal protection: P2 filter respirator for harmful particles).
    		Provision to contain effluent from fire extinguishing. Separated from acids, food and feedstuffs. Dry. Keep in a well-ventilated room.
    		Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

     WHITE OR COLOURLESS CRYSTALS.

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     The substance decomposes on heating producing toxic fumes (nitrogen oxides, sulfur oxides), on contact with acids producing carbon disulphide, and in the presence of moisture or water producing gazeous products (e.g. methyl isothiocyanate, formaldehyde, hydrogen sulfide).

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV not established.

    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation of its aerosol and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     Evaporation at 20░C is negligible; a harmful concentration of airborne particles can, however, be reached quickly on dispersion.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance irritates the eyes, the skin and the respiratory tract.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     Repeated or prolonged contact may cause skin sensitization (see Notes).

         		This substance may be hazardous to the environment; special attention should be given to fish, crustacea and plants.
    NOTES
    The technical grade is 98% pure; dazomet is moderately stable but is sensitive to temperature > 35░C and to moisture. The substance is combustible but no flash point is available in literature. Data are insufficiently available on the effect of this substance on human health, therefore utmost care must be taken. Carrier solvents used in commercial formulations may change physical and toxicological properties. Basamid, Mylone, Fennosan B 100, Crag Fungicide 974, Fennosan B100 are trade names.
